From donating masks to hospitals to running errands for the elderly, there are many ways that people have been showing small acts of kindness amid the coronavirus pandemic. But one delivery man went the extra mile when dropping off a package for a household with a vulnerable family member.

A tweet about the act of kindness from a FedEx delivery man has been widely shared over the internet.
Carrie Blasi shared a post on Twitter of a sign she made to let people know to leave any packages or mail by the door because her daughter has Type 1 diabetes and could be dangerously affected by the virus. The photo shows a note written on the package left by the FedEx driver saying that he had sanitized the box after seeing her note on the door.
Older people and anyone with any serious underlying medical conditions are at higher risk for severe illness from coronavirus. This includes people with diabetes and respiratory conditions, pregnant women and more.
Though there is limited information regarding the risk factors for COVID-19, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends people who are at higher risk take the necessary precautions of washing their hands often, staying home if possible and cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched areas.
It is important to take extra precautions like the FedEx driver did to help stop the spread of coronavirus and protect those with weaker immune systems from getting sick.
